Mbilia Bel est une chanteuse congolaise (RDC) célèbre.
Elle débute sa carrière à 17 ans, et quelques années plus tard, dans les années 1980, elle devient célèbre en se joignant au groupe Afrisa International. Elle épouse Tabu Ley Rochereau, pour qui elle chante pendant quelques années. C'est en 1987 que la chanteuse sort son album solo.
